The laminar flow jet with the cutting mechanism provides a very clean water jump that enables designer to use this effect in pedestrian walkways, parks and other dry areas. • When operating the Rainbow Star, water can splash, particularly with water jets that are shot quickly in succession - the amount is approx. 1/2 a gallon per hour - the amount of splash water is negligible if the water jet is operated as a full, continuous parabola
• The water must be clean in order to transport light via the water jet - the target point can only be illuminated by the parabola if the water is clear
